This special arrangement of matcha whisks (chasens) are exclusively Japanese Hand-made.

These traditional matcha utensils are exceptionally noteworthy for the family lineage hand-making them. Our associate producers in Nara, Japan are part of a 24-generation lineage involved in the authentic production of traditional bamboo matcha utensils.

We are incredibly proud of our relationship and being able to help support and share this authentic part of matcha tradition. These very same products have been internationally recognized, toured in museum exhibitions, and have a great depth of history.

Conventional Style Whisks (shorter shaft handles)

There are three (2) conventional style whisks to choose from. They are made from unique bamboo variants and perform the same function. You may select based on preference of color.*

Matcha Muddler Whisk (longer shaft handle)

This is a black bamboo traditional muddler (style of chasen) for whipping matcha, thick matcha, aerating green teas, and generally very versatile – especially for tumbler-shaped mixing cups.
